About Imogen

I am strongly invested in learning and I have never spent too long away from the classroom. With over 7 years of multifaceted experience in teaching and 10 years of post-school education specializing in science and science communication, I am an inclusive and compassionate tutor ready to help high school and undergraduate science students. As a UQ alumnus and School of Biomedical Science tutor at UQ, I can also provide valuable guidance to high school students considering a science degree at this university and undergraduate students looking to ace their science courses! About the lesson

From studying for UMAT to submitting my dissertation, I have always noticed it is hardest for me to learn a difficult subject when the tutors have been out of touch with the students they're teaching. The rigidity in the classroom doesn't work for many people (including me) and can leave students behind. Using my experience in countless types of learning spaces and real-world experience, I offer:

Perfect! Imogen is a great tutor. She tutored me for my master's-level biostatistics unit at university. Imogen is great at breaking concepts down and making them simple and easy to understand. I was able to help Rebekah's son with 3 stand alone classes to prepare for a Quantitative Biology Exam he was not feeling confident about. We worked through an R based practice exam I constructed from previous workshop questions. After sitting the exam, he said he felt he did better on this exam than any previous ones.

His ability to interpret and communicate scientific information has strengthened significantly. Additionally, he navigates alternative sequence high school courses with adaptability, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and perseverance.
