About Sharon
I’m a professional fashion designer, pattern cutter, and tutor with years of experience across fashion design, garment construction, pattern cutting, and product development.
I currently teach pattern cutting and garment construction at a leading fashion college in Dublin. I also founded and ran my own womenswear label, designing and developing garments from initial concept through to finished product.
I love teaching and helping people turn an idea into something they can actually make and wear. Whether you’re a complete beginner, developing your sewing skills, learning pattern cutting, working on your own design, or stuck on a particular fit or construction problem, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals and experience.
I can help with pattern cutting, sewing and garment construction, fit, design development, and upcycling, including taking your own garment idea from concept through to finished piece.
My approach is practical, creative, and encouraging. I want you to understand why we’re doing something, rather than simply following instructions, so you build skills and confidence you can use independently in future projects.
Lessons are available in person in Dublin or online.

About the lesson

In person lessons are a minimum of two hours, giving us enough time to make real progress on your project.
One hour online sessions are also available for focused tuition, pattern cutting, fit advice, construction troubleshooting or help with a specific project.
We’ll start by discussing your goals, experience and what you’d like to achieve. For project based lessons, we can work through the entire process together from developing your idea and creating the pattern to cutting, sewing and finishing your garment.
Lessons are completely tailored to you. I’ll explain and guide you through each stage, helping you develop the skills and understanding to work more independently as you progress.
