About Oko

I have many, many years of experience working on high-end pieces for well-known clients. I’ve been passionate about fashion since I was very young and have developed my artistry since then. I am skilled in embroidery, draping, pattern-making, beading, & more and eager to share the knowledge. Specialized in highly detailed bridal and evening gowns. Open to working with students of all levels who are ambitious and have inquiring minds.

About the lesson

I am teaching everything about how to make high end garments from scratch….
Depending on the student interest and level able to teach bead work, patterns making, crochet, knitting and basic leather work.

Perfect! Oko is an incredible teacher. She is patient, kind, detail oriented, did I say patient? She has a wonderful energy around her, she is fun to sew with. I am so fortunate to have found her. If you are learning how to sew as a hobbyiest or a student in Fashion Design she will teach you how to sew efficiently and help you get your projects done. She is a natural teacher, and an incredible sewer. I adore her!

Perfect! Oko is an incredible teacher. She is patient, kind, detail oriented, did I say patient? She has a wonderful energy around her, she is fun to sew with. I am so fortunate to have found her. If you are learning how to sew as a hobbyiest or a student in Fashion Design she will teach you how to sew efficiently and help you get your projects done. She is a natural teacher, and an incredible sewer. I adore her!

I couldn’t believe my fortune to have Oktyabri come to my home to help and teach me how to adjust a pattern to fit my project perfectly. I have sewn for years, but what Oko taught me was invaluable, she is precise in every aspect of teaching yet very calm and kind when a correction is needed. Oko arrives on time and her lesson (help) starts immediately . I will definitely ask Oko for more lessons in the future. With her help I attempted a level of altering I never dreamed possible. She showed me how to tape a dress form to make a pattern from muslin. Adjustments after adjustment was made until I had a pattern that fit my daughter perfectly. Like I said, her level of expertise and perfection is remarkable. Oko is a joy to be with, work with and know. I highly recommend Oktyabri, you’ll learn more than you can imagine. Thank you Oko for all your help
