About Kristin

MEND MVMT is a holistic health and wellness collective created to provide women access to affordable holistic healthcare and wellness.

We are unique because we incorporate tradictional Chinese Medicine philosophy with Pilates and Yoga movement.

I enjoy creating a welcoming space for wellness seekers and holistic health practictioners to learn, grow, work, and recharge. I am passionate about merging western mindful movement methods and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

I started teaching after years of dancing professionally in NYC. Pilates was a way I began to rebab my own injuries and I was inspired to help other women feel good in their body.

I am a current medical graduate student specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. I am certified Pilates and Yoga Teacher. (500hrs and 200hrs)

I specialize in holisitc women's health, pre-post netal wellness, bariatric surgery recovery, and respiratory rehab.

I also provide corporate wellness training for companies and professionals nationwide.

About the lesson

I have new students complete an initial assessment where they complete a health waiver and questionnaire. We go over their goals, injuries, and conditions. From here we develop a personalized movement plan. Manual Massage Therapy and Nutrition/Food Therapy is an available add on services.

I have worked with busy professionals, entrepreneurs, athletes, retirees, new mothers, and even celebrities! My typical client is aged 30-80 years old. I specialize in beginner Pilates and yoga for women's health.

I would advice students to research and select a teacher who has experience teaching with students in person. Virtual is great but you want your training to have had contact hours with actual bodies. Students can also ask trainers for a demo session if they want to try out a trainer before booking.

I am excited to now offer virtual Pilates and yoga via ZOOM! I also just created a streaming online wellness platform.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be clear with what their expectations are. They need to communicate this to their trainer. Sometimes a trainer can help you and other times a good trainer will let you know if what you require is in or out of scope.

Details

All sessions are booked online through a scheduling portal. Payment is made at the time of booking. Private Sessions are $99 per session for 50 minutes. Session packages of 6, 8, 12 are offered at a lower rate per session. Small group sessions (2-6 people) are available as well.
