About Liz
The style of yoga I teach is designed to help restore, strengthen and align the body with a customizable approach. I emphasize the use of breath in each movement to cultivate a mind + body connection to experience more peace of mind.
There is nothing greater than witnessing a students unique transition to mind + body wellness. Seeing them actually SEE and FEEL rapid and positive results is my absolute favorite part of my job.
In 2008, I fell in love with Vinyasa yoga. The teacher I had was fun and open to modifications that made the practice accessable and a little unique every time. After practicing with her for a few years, I decided to get my certification and begin my teaching journey.
After receiving my certification, I got hired at a local yoga studio called Ritual Yoga in Laguna Beach. I taught in that sweet little space for over five years until the unfortunate closing of the studio in May 2017. Less than a year later, I was given the opportunity to co-found a studio in North Laguna Beach called Yoga Sapien. The creation of this beautiful studio was a dream-come-true and sometimes I still can't believe that I got to be the one that helped bring it to life. Today, this studio is now re-branded as OM yoga + meditation and it is thriving more than ever!
I currently teach private and weekly yoga classes at OM yoga + meditation in North Laguna Beach.
My certification includes a 200 Hour Certification through White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA, 2012 and a 500 Hour Certification though Yoga Arts in Bali, 2013.
I have been continually evolving as a yoga teacher since 2011 and have taught over 7,000 classes in-studios and privately.
Currently, I teach private and public yoga classes at OM yoga + meditation in North Laguna Beach.

When working with a new student, I begin by getting to know each students physical/mental/emotional conditions, level of experience and personal goals with starting/continuing a yoga practice.
Our first class is really more of an assessment to see where they have restriction and/or injuries and what they need to focus on more between their breathing, range of motion, physical strength, balance, focus, etc.
At the end of our first session, I will then create a personalized practice incorporating breathwork, yoga postures, and awareness practices. Each class will have a similar vibe however, no two classes will be exactly the same. This is because we physically and energetically change a little every day. Some days it's best to relax the body if it is overworked and other days we need more of an energetic boost.
You are guaranteed to notice positive effects throughout this practice and especially after Savasana (the final and most restful pose).
I have worked with thousands of individuals with various experience levels. I am experienced working with beginners to advanced yogis, pregnant women, elderly students, advanced practicioners, and humans of all shapes and sizes. Some of my private clients have come to me after recovering joint replacements, spinal injuries, childbirth, and quite a long list of various surgeries and injuries. Whether your goal is to be stronger, more flexible, healthier, calmer, or to restore your mind/body, I am ready to help you work toward that - at a healthy yet effective pace.

Details
Depending on the distance I travel to come to you, I charge around $100-150 for 60-75 minutes of private and personalized yoga + meditation.
