About Kiera

Hi! I'm Kiera.

I've been practicing yoga and meditation for 5 years, and this past year I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Global Breath Studios in Durham, NC. My background is in Hatha yoga, specifically Dharma and Ashtanga. I am very passionate about the practice and all its amazing benefits. I also love working with individuals on ways to integrate aspects of yoga into their current forms of excersie and self-care. Yoga is for everyone in every type of body and I hope to share this beautiful practice with you!

My formal training is in secondary education, so teaching has always been my passion. Yoga has had such a positive impact on my physical and mental health. Friends and family began noticing how yoga was improving my quailty of life, so they requested I teach them different practices. I began teaching small groups (family, youth sports teams, etc.) in 2019. I enjoyed teaching very much, so I went on to 200hr YTT. Since then, I've been teaching classes to adults and youth in the Durham area.

I have 4 years of experience in various styles of yoga, and I have completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at a Yoga Allicance certified studio.

About the lesson

Before working with new clients, I like to have a consultation to learn what the client is looking to gain from the practice and how I can support.

I work with students of all ages. I have taught classes to middle school aged students, senior citizens, and ages in between. Typically, my students are interested in learning yoga to improve their physical and mental health.

This practice is for EVERYONE! It doesn't matter if you've never practiced before or if you're a seasoned practitioner. There is always something to gain from yoga.

I am currently teaching a grounding yoga class on Sunday evenings called Sunday Yoga Sessions. It is a slower paced class, focused on deep stretching and mindful breathing. The class includes, asana, pranayama, and meditation.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Consider what you are looking to gain from the practice. Are you looking for deep relaxation? Improve concertration? Or maybe you would like to increase flexibility, strength, and cardio. Have some awareness of what you are looking for, and what you're body needs to ensure you are maximizing each session.

My pricing system is as follows:

Private Sessions: 30.00 per hour

Small Group (3-5 students): 40.00 per hour

Large Group (6 or more): 10.00 per student
