About Darice Machel
Art E Studio is located on the beautiful island of Maui, in Lahaina. It is a dedicated art studio focusing on teaching children and adults the fine art of oil and acrylic painting. The instructor, Darice Machel McGuire, has over 40 years experience in fine arts. She leads her students through the basic process of creating a painting, helping each student achieve their goals and encouraging them to expand their skills by trying new techniques.
To me, there is nothing better than expressing myself through creative work. My chosen path in life is living my dream as an artist on the beautiful island of Maui. My work is in four galleries here and my studio is open to the public 5 days a week.

I ask lots of questions to deturmin the student's goals for learning to paint. From their answers I can deturmin how to proceed. Some students just want to spend a day creating art with a family member. Some just want to prove to themselves they can do it. Others want to improve their skills so they can paint on their own.
