About Claire F
I have great enthusiasm and passion for art and have teaching experience in other fields. I was also a professional draftsman for many years. Teaching is a natural for me.
I have a great eye for color and composition. I teach both painting and clay sculpting. My approach is intuitive so if you are precise to the extreme or a "by the book" person you may want to keep looking however, I teach painting as a step by step process.
My oil painting work is everything from Italian architecture to landscapes and nude figures. I have little experience with abstract painting but certainly apppreciate it and encourage it.
If you wish to view some of my work I will happily email you. I think it's important if you want a sense of my taste level.
I love painting so much I am able to be extremely patient with it. I get great satisfaction from seeing someone break through and allow themselves to express!!!

Have studied all my life and grew up surrounded by those who appreciate and value fine art.
Had a Museum of Fine Arts, Houston scholarship for years growing up and have painted and sculpted ever since.

Details
Unless there are unusual circumstances I charge $50.00 per hour with a 1 hour minimum.
Thus, a 2 hour second session will be $100.00.
Payments made be made in cash or Venmo and are due AT THE START OF EACH SESSION.
