About Kaleigh
I have been creating art since I could hold a paintbrush. It is my biggest passion and brings me more joy than anything else on earth. There is nothing quite like expressing yourself on a canvas and I am a huge believer that absolutely anyone can be a visual creator. With a little knowledge on color theory, a basic grasp on shapes and proportions, and some time, you could be well on your way to one of the most therapeutic activities known to man. I have a large passion for abstract art as I believe it allows for the most freedom and expression. However, I am also well versed in portraits and realism if that's what you're looking to learn. I started teaching art to toddlers at the Early Learning Development Center in Aurora. There, I learned the unique role art plays in ones development and confidence.
I am self-taught. I have been painting since I was a toddler, gathering information and skills anywhere and from anyone I can.

Firstly, I like to ask someone what their artistic goals are. You may not have any specific goal, and I personally find that beautiful. Creating for the sake of creating is fantastic. This is also the time to gauge your current experience level.
Next we will discuss materials. The different kinds of paints, canvases, what their unique uses are, etc.
For a very first session, it's important to allow for freedom of expression. If you have a particular goal, we will use skills that will help you work towards that while working on our first piece.
I have worked with ages 1-47.
