About Judy
I have been teaching painting since 2004 in Highlands County, Florida. I love what I do and helping others learn to paint.
I have taught at the Highlands Art League, Highlands Cultural Alliance, Michaels in Sebring, Davenport and Lakeland, Florida, as well as A.C. Moore in Ft. Myers, Caladium Arts and Crafts Cooperative in Lake Placid, Florida and Society of Decorative Painters in Orlando, Lake Wales, and Ft. Myers, Florida. I am a member of TEAM ( Teachers of Educational Art Material) and teach at Retreat in St. Simons, GA.
I have been Certified in the Onestroke Painting Technique Level 1 and 2, Sculpy Clay and HD Painting by Donna Dewberry. Certified by Priscilla Hauser in her Basic 1, 2 and Roses. Also Painted with Brenda Harris with permission to teach all her designs. Have painted with many other artist such as Gary Jenkins, Bill Bayer, Margot Clark and also teach her Mud Classes, a new technique.
Children's Classes are my favorite and have taught many Kids Camps in the above locations. Homeschool children have also been in my classes since there is not much art being taught in schools today.
I look forward to helping anyone learn to paint in acrylic, oil, fabric, glass, wood, etc. Once you learn to paint you can paint on anything. Have some fun and learn to paint.
I love showing people that they too can paint. They have a talent and can learn techniques. The best part is the "AHA" moment when they get it.... such a rewarding experience.
Certified with Donna Dewberry Level 1,2, HD Painting, and sculpy clay. Certified Priscilla Hauser Teacher in Basic 1,2 and Roses. Teaching the Brenda Harris method and Marjorie Harris Clark Roses. I have also taken classes with Gary Jenkins, Margot Clark, Peggy Harris and many more.
