About Connor

Introduction

Hi there, my name is Connor! I currently work as a behavior therapist for students with autism, but my first passion has always been reading, writing, and interpreting. I love sharing this passion with others and helping them to understand the significance of stories they are reading or writing. Additionally, I love to help others fine tune their writing skills, so editing and teaching others the skill of self-editing is another passion.

Why Should You Work With Me?

I am extremely easy going, love talking with new people, and am very non-judgmental, so rest assured that you can feel comfortable coming to me with even the smallest of questions about what you are working. I want to build your confidence in your ability to tackle subjects in reading, writing, and literature and show you why you have the ability to independently thrive. I am completely non-discriminatory and want you to know that any session with me is a safe space for you to be yourself.

Qualifications

Additionally, if you are diagnosed with any kind of developmental disability, I am qualified and able to help you; I have a decade of experience working with people with disabilities of all ages and all across the spectrum of severity. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English (Literature) in Adolescence Education (Psychology Minor) from Marist College in 2014, I received my Masters in Special Education in 2020 from University of Hartford and am currently working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. I’ve worked as a teacher’s aide, a direct support professional for adults and teens in supported employment and education, a lifeguard and summer camp counselor for individuals with disabilities of all ages, and currently as an ABA therapist for children and teens with autism.

If you have any questions or have any interest in working with me, please reach out and let me know :)
