About Merry
Years of experience in tutoring and my currently pursuing an MA in Education have allowed me to create a personalized approach to each individual that I help. While I will not be editing or proofreading writing assignments for students, I will use a contextual and holistic approach, a combination of directive and non-directive styles, to help meet students where they are as they develop successful writing knowledge and skills.
I understand the emotions that come at each stage of the writing process. Importantly, I want to help my students understand that seeking help for writing does not make them bad writers. I make appointments with other tutors all the time, and each session is only going to provide students with more knowledge, resources, and skills they will take with them to other academic spaces and even outside of them. No two sessions are ever the same, and I am excited to learn and grow with you!

Merry is amazing! I am currently a senior in high school and she is the only reason I passed pre-calculus in my junior year. We would go through my old homeworks and test and review the topics I had trouble with. Soon, there weren't any topics that I needed help with. She is extremely flexible for me as I called her when I needed help and it was very irregular. If you want a math tutor that is flexible and easy to get a hold of, I would very much recommend Merry.
Merry Touch is an amazing tutor! Her approach to being a writing tutor is unique only to her. Most tutors will proof read your essays and give you suggestions on topics. She goes through the paper with you and helps you convey ideas that are already in the paper. In a sense, she guided me to reconstruct ideas/sentences in order to clearly state my intention. This was very considerate because I am able to utilize the topic I want to in a concise and clear way. There was not a single point where Merry made me feel ashamed of my paper. This is a big help because for me, writing is an extension of myself and she nurtured it. I 100% recommend her.
