About Heather
I will aid students in their school work while conducting my own activities to assess the student's skills. I will keep a detailed portfolio including the student's work, assessments given, and plans to improve. The student and I will work together to set clear goals and will create a plan to meet those goals.
I enjoy providing a structured environment where students can express their needs and receive the help they need in order to feel successful. Watching students become successful in something they believed they couldn't do is a rewarding and wonderful feeling.
I am a certified Elementary Educator for the state of Georgia. I have 4 years of classroom experience teaching 5th grade reading and writing, and all subjects in 2nd grade. I have also tutored students in Kindergarten and 3rd grade in reading, writing, and mathematics.
