About Rubi

I am passionate about art, and dedicated to share my passion. I have prepared lessons for children of ages 5 and up for a local art center. Through patience and good teaching, art students can feel success!

In the past, I have earned awards and honorable mentions in the fields of drawing, painting, and digital design.

Seeing student's work, but most of all their self satisfaction is so rewarding! I've found that others too enjoy the art process. It is exciting for the teacher and the student to learn new skills and techniques. These cam be applied not only to create visual art but the problem-solving skills one gains through creating art are useful in other ateas of life. For these and more reasons, I find art to be very important.

I volunteered at local art centers, eventually was hired and we worked on a summer youth program. We provided students with lessons they could perform at home during the lockdown due to the outbreak.

Art History AA, Studio Art AA from COS in Visalia, CA.

Work experience at Children's Storybook Garden and Museum in Hanford, CA and at Arts Visalia Art Center in Visalia, CA.

Working on my BA in Art History.

About the lesson

5-12 mostly. I am willing and open to other ages who are interested.

Ask to see samples of their work to get an idea that the teacher has good skills to pass on to you. Then develop techniques of your own once you're comfortable to do so.

Converse with them and get a feel of their goals and attitude as a teacher to see if you may be a good match. Perhaps show the, some of your previous artworks.

This year, 2020, has been like a roller coaster for us. We lost two of out beloved dogs. A small car accident occurred, and things as such... but on the other hand, our son turned 18, and has made us very proud for his efforts in spitiual aspects, as well as secular and academic. I am fond of the growth my son has shown, with (mostly) a pleasant attitude.
