About Hilarie
I make it easy for students to learn with my explanations and lessons. If you are a serious artist , I am your teacher. Not a paint and sipper type teacher but for those who want a solid elements of art from foundations to technique. My forte is people and figurative work and mediums are charcoal, pastel and oil, but I also work in oil pastel, watercolor and colored pencil. I work with each student individually to help them achieve their goals. I only specialize in Portraits and figurative and color .
i love painting people especially women
I love teaching aqnd have taught in other fields so it is just a natural ability
life, reading and taking workshops from other amazing artists that I admire, painting and teaching.

I always ask what they want to achieve through working with me. My classes are lecture/demo and then studio time and I help each student individually.
I prefer to work with people who are serious . I have worked with all ages from 4-95 and many experience levels
look for someone who does work you admire but has reviews of being a good teacher. Not all artists are good teachers. they must be willing to share and like people
I am teaching a regular class twice a monrth at a retirement community
