About Kseniya
I am a life-long artist who sells oil landscape and portrait works on commission and has art pieces displayed at several galleries and offices near Salt Lake City.
I taught art to first graders in Costa Rica for an entire year, merging art history with lessons on how to recreate the works of artistic geniuses. I've also done private art lessons. (I am TEFL certified and have experience teaching English to all ages, from 4-80, including adult business English. I have three years of teaching experience.)

I was hired as an English and art teacher right out of college and lived and taught in Costa Rica for a year in 2009. I've since also taught adults English and art.
I was trained by one of the premier portrait artists in the world at Dixie State College, Del Parson, whose portrait of Jesus is hung in every LDS church and temple all over the world. I also have a TEFL certificate to teach English and three years of experience teaching children and adults, including first grade art, both creation and history.

First I try to identify the preferred learning style of the student (visual, auditory, kinesthetic etc) and craft lesson plans that merge all the child's preferences with a multi-disciplinary on art history and creation. I like to get to know the student so he/she feels comfortable with me to try new skills, knowing that failure is a path to success.
I taught first grade art, all the subjects to pre-schoolers and business English to adults for a cumulative three years.
Make sure the child is comfortable with the teacher, and that the teacher likes working with children.
