About Katie
I offer a variety of Art lessons from Drawing to Painting to Crafty stuff! I have a very entertaining and goofy personality that makes creating Art fun and memorable! I can work with whatever talent stage you're at and we can learn and grow artistically together! I've been drawing all my life! I have received a Bachelors in Fine Art with an emphasis in Oil Painting, and have also studied computer animation. I truly believe Art is a beautiful expression of our uniqueness!
When I am deep in creating something I lose all feeling of time, any stress and am in my own comfortable creative world of my imagination where anything can happen! If I can teach others to delve into their own unique artwork and allow them to visually express themselves then I have accomplished my job and there's nothing like that feeling! Working alongside others is beneficial for everyone because there's always something to learn and plus what a great motivation to inspire each other!

About the lesson

We start off by going over our supplies and utensils. Review the basics such as the color wheel and necessary art terms. Warm up with some quick gesture sketches, and after discussing our specific subject start creating! Throughout our session I will give any advice and technique demonstrations as needed as well as answer any questions! At the end I'll explain the next project so as to allow for mental preparation and of course excitement!
