About Judy
I can demonstrate almost any medium, any subject, any amount of time--with flair--although my specialty is portraiture. In my classes, people leave with a tremendous amount of information which they can then use in their own art journey. Several of my students have become teachers themselves, which makes me proud.
My work has earned many awards, and has been shown and sold from numerous galleries in Connecticut and now in Florida. I currently teach portraits in oil and acrylics in the Vero Beach Museum of Art, Indian River Estates in Vero Beach, private students, and my own following at the American Legion in Sebastian, Florida. I hold memberships in many local art clubs and plein air groups, and am a member of the Portrait Society of American and the Ameican Impressionist Society.
Basically self-taught, however I have taken numerous workshops and classes by noted local (from CT and FL) artists, and many art magazine subscriptions, in addition to having a library of hundreds of art books and on-line study. I have taught thousands of students in hundreds of classes, and performed many demonstrations which I do now several times weekly.
