About Charles
I have more than 25 years of experience as a teacher with 14 years of experience in the public school system. I am currently in Studio 107 in downtown Martinsville Virginia, which is an open artist studio that has a variety of artists who all teach classes. We have artists who specialize in stained glass, painting, fabrics, woodturning, photography and more. I also offer commercial and fine art for sale and create large scale mural projects.
I love to paint and teach!

I find out what the student is interested in and what experience they have in doing art to begin with, then develop a plan to teach them those skills that will allow them to create the kind of art that they want. I use demonstrations and hands on methiods while allowing them the freedom to explore and develop their abilities by working on their own.
