About Shannon

We started out as Thistlehill Workshop in 2007 where we had children’s arts and crafts. We have merged with Yaffle Ilustrations that was started by my son who taught the cartooning side of our workshop. We have branched out and now do illustration work and teach outside of our workshop.

We love to do arts and crafts according to the seasons. So if you are looking to maybe do some holiday crafts we can do that too. If its a special occasion for a group gathering or party that is also available. We are here to teach and guide you on your arts and crafts journey.

Being able to use my God given talents to earn a living teaching people who want to learn different mediums of arts and crafts is amazing! Teaching people art and seeing them become happy and feel good about themselves and seeing what they can accomplish is the best. making people happy because they were able to spend time together as a group and doing something with thier hands and imagination where perfection does not exist. Art is not perfect it is a matter of opinion. You can relax and be free to do whatever you want.

I grew up in a very artistic family. If we couldnt afford it, we made it, painted it, sewed it or cooked it ourselves. All through school I was involved in art and as I got into my teens I was offered an art scholarship through the Temecula Art League where I grew up. As I got married and had a family i wrote and illustrated children's books did alot of freelance art work. I taught art and craft classes out of my workshop for years. I teach art to the retirement communities locally. I am freelance Illustrator and teach art classes as well to individuals and groups of all ages.
