About Vanessa
The service I provide is unique because I have been making art since I was a little girl. I believe anyone can become an artist with practice and dedication. My skill set is self taught and I studied fine art at Pratt Institute where I learned many different types of art processes including painting, drawing, Printmaking (silkscreen & etching), sculpture, installation art, photography, and graphic design. Currently my focus is drawing and silkscreen. Drawing is something I enjoy doing daily I always have a sketchbook because you never know when you will be inspired and that is something I would like my students to get into the habit of.
I enjoy the process of painting and drawing. The hardest part is getting started once I immerse myself in a painting it is the most meditative experience one can imagine.
A friend wanted to learn silkscreening so I taught them in exchange for help with my business.
