About Leah
I provide individualized sessions focused on cultivating a student’s distinct voice. Though there is an emphasis on classic artmaking techniques, it is far more than a “how-to” class.
Learn the skills it takes to maintain a true artistic practice, observe the world critically, and make art that truly inspires. Each lesson is tailored specifically to the artist’s passions and pushes them to stretch their creative process to make honest, original work.
There is no age limit, no experience necessary, and nothing is off limits. If you can dream it, I can help you make it! Lessons can be held as an individual or in a group. Time, materials and location are all up to you.
My whole life has been dedicated to my creative process. I graduated from UT with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on painting. However, I’ve been making art my whole life.

Any artistic endeavor begins with the artist understanding their true heart. And, that’s exactly what I want to do with new students. I want to know the artist's goals, what inspires them, what they watch, the books they read, the music they listen to, and most importantly what they love to make.
Before any pencil touches the paper or brush strokes the canvas, the student (along with the student’s parent if they are a child) and I will determine where, when and how they want the lessons to occur.
*I will initially meet with the student for a free consultation and put together a proposal outlining the details and goals of the lessons.
