About Amanda

Hi everyone, I am Amanda D. Artist and I’m just living that “Art Life”. Art has always been a part of my life in many forms, however, it wasn’t until I discovered painting, that I fell in love!

I have been a painting/art Instructor for well over a year and now building a portfolio of my own creations.

I paint mostly with acrylics but I have worked with many different art medias. Currently I am working on building my oil painting skills.

I just truly believe in expressing yourself and getting creative no matter what art media you Pursue.

Color mixing is one of my favorite parts of my creative process. Helping others to find the creative person inside themselves is a major goal I strive for as well.

I began teaching after seeing an ad for a position at Artistic Experiences. I decided to take a chance and send some of my paintings via email to see what might happen. I was very nervous because while I have been a student of Art my entire life, I had never taught before. I found the experience incredibly rewarding. I love helping people of all ages discover and sometimes rediscover the creative soul inside themselves.

I have had K-12 art classes including drawing, sculpting, watercolors, prisma, pastel etc. and a semester of a college level painting class. I was a painting instructor for 2 Years at Artistic Experiences.

About the lesson

New students must have a preliminary consultation via phone or email regarding goals, experience, and type of art that is being pursued.

I have worked with almost all ages. From very young children to senior adults. The ages of my students maybe very different from each other but The expression on their faces when they create something completely unique to them is always the same.

make sure when looking for an instructor you check out a selection of their work so you have a good idea of their style. Make it sure jives with what you are looking for not to say that an artists style is always a clear indication of all of their skills. Be sure to have a preliminary consultation, in which, you discuss your personal goals and experience with the artist instructor of your choice.

i recently entered my first painting contest courtesy the act-Fair Wine Fair. I will have a handful of pieces on display and I couldn’t be more proud.
