About Jordan
I am a licensed teacher and a mother, with a Master’s in Education, 7 years of classroom experience, and a certificate in the Science of Reading. I am passionate about helping students build strong reading and early literacy skills while growing confidence and a love for learning. As both a teacher and a parent, I create a supportive, nurturing, and structured environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and celebrate their progress. My lessons are professional, research-based, and personalized to each child’s needs, making learning meaningful, engaging, and fun.

My approach as a tutor centers on making reading and early literacy engaging, accessible, and tailored to each student’s needs. I use research-based strategies grounded in the Science of Reading, including phonics instruction, decoding practice, fluency exercises, and comprehension activities. A typical lesson includes:

What sets me apart is my combination of 7 years of classroom experience, a Master’s in Education, and a deep understanding of how children learn to read, allowing me to adapt lessons to each student’s pace and interests. My lessons are designed for elementary students, including English language learners or those needing extra support in reading and early literacy skills.
