About Alison
I have been teaching for 28 years. I have spent all of my time in the state of Maryland. I have taught in both the county and city setting. I have taught grades 1-5. Reading is my passion. I also hold a Master's degree in Reading Education.

I use a blended approach from years of classroom experience to incorporate phonics, vocabulary, comprehension skills, fluency, and writing skills to build a whole reader! By using high interest fiction and non-fiction texts and a variety of activities and games, students will be engaged during my tutoring sessions and having fun while improving their reading and writing skills.
