About Fehmida

Like many children, I received my basic Qur'an education at a young age. But, my relationship with the Qur'an remained largely limited to recitation.

It was only after moving to Bahrain that I was blessed with the opportunity to study the Qur'an in depth. That journey transformed my understanding of the Qur'an and made me realize how much I needed to unlearn and relearn. I worked to correct my recitation, refine my Arabic pronunciation beyond the typical South Asian accent, and studied under knowledgeable teachers. That experience transformed my perspective and inspired me to move beyond rituals to understanding, reflection, and living by its teachings.

I began my formal Qur'anic studies at Al Fateh Masjid, Bahrain, and later completed the Ghaythul Quloob certification through Azharul Jannah. I also completed the Dream Program with Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan, which further deepened my appreciation of the Qur'an and its message.

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching the Qur'an to children and women. My aim is not only to help students read the Qur'an with proper Tajweed, but also to cultivate a love for the Qur'an by understanding its meanings and reflecting on its lessons. With younger children, I use stories of the Prophets and the Ṣaḥābah to make lessons engaging, memorable, and inspiring.

Every student learns differently, so my classes are patient, personalized, and encouraging. Whether you are taking your first steps in learning the Qur'an or striving to improve your recitation and understanding, I look forward to supporting you on your journey, In shāʾ Allāh.

About the lesson

I offer personalized online classes in the following subjects. Students may choose one course or combine multiple courses based on their learning goals.

Qur'an Recitation (Beginner to Advanced)
Suitable for absolute beginners—no prior knowledge required.
Learn correct pronunciation (Makhārij), Tajweed rules, and fluent recitation in Tartīl.
Regular reading practice with individual feedback to build confidence and accuracy.

Fundamentals of Arabic Grammar

Build a strong foundation in understanding Qur'anic Arabic.
Topics include noun-based and verb-based sentences, commands and prohibitions, negation, conditional sentences, Ism Mawṣūl, and an introduction to Ṣarf (word patterns/families).
Prerequisite - Should know to read/write Arabic.

Fundamentals of Islam

A beginner-friendly course for children and adults.
Covers belief in Allah, His Beautiful Names and Attributes, the Five Pillars of Islam, basic adhkār and duʿās, Islamic manners (akhlaaq), and a step-by-step guide to performing Ṣalāh.

Medium of Instruction: English or Malayalam.
