About Simone
I'm a recent graduate from University of the Arts London with a PGCert in Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication. Also have a BA Hons in Fashion Design and Textiles. With 12 years of industry experience running a fashion business and learning all the DO's and DON'Ts within the fashion industry. Managed to develop the business and collections professionally to appear at London Fashion Week, Reality TV shows and Modelling competitions in the UK and US. Meanwhile creating marketing strategies to promote and drive sales online and in our store. Last year I decided to take a step back to have a family and share my knowledge and experience of the Menswear industry. I started consulting brands, designers, creative directors and fashion models. In that time I have taught over 100 students across the fashion, Art and Design Industries online and one-to-one. I'm an advocate of achieving your goal utilising learnt and developed knowledge, whilst building your network within your expertise. I am dedicated to bringing the best out of my students, overcoming and helping to solve problems that will arise on their journey to success.

My constant professional development and scholarly based research, to stay up to date with teaching methodologies that are in line with my style of teaching. Well-researched & organised lesson planning as experienced on my PgCert course, results in high-quality teaching. Lessons are typically 1hr, with the opportunity to extend if required. These will be customised to your goal/outcome. A lesson can be theory-based i.e. fashion business, interview preparation, fashion marketing or industry facts and knowledge. Or a lesson can be practical exploring i.e. creative pattern cutting, garment construction, fabric research, textiles, portfolio preparations and CAD. Creating safe spaces for students to confidently exchange knowledge from teacher to student and student to teacher, championing engaged pedagogy. Creates positive learning environments championed by bell hooks in her book Teaching to Transgress, Education as the Practice of Freedom. With over 12 years of industry experience in Fashion Business, Marketing, Pattern Cutting, Styling, Design & Garment Construction. Experience with group teaching and one-to-one tutoring, creating a positive environment is key by building respectful and professional relationships with students. Fostering effective pastoral care to all students. The structure and level of the lessons are for GCSE, Higher Education to Post Grad.
