About Simon
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester and am currently pursuing my Master’s in the same field at UCL. As someone who has experienced university entrance exams in the US, UK, and South Korea, I bring a unique understanding of different academic systems and the challenges students face in each. This background allows me to support students in a well-rounded, adaptable way, helping them reach their academic goals with confidence.

I offer tutoring in Maths and Physics, with experience teaching students from SATs and GCSE up to A-Level and university foundation level. My lessons are typically 1 to 2 hours per session and can be conducted online for maximum flexibility and accessibility. I tailor each session to the student's individual needs—whether that means reviewing key concepts, working through specific problem sets, or developing effective strategies for tackling complex problems. My approach is student-focused and adaptive. I work to build not just subject knowledge, but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills that students can apply independently. For younger students, I ensure foundational understanding is secure before progressing. For older students preparing for exams, I focus on targeted practice and exam technique to boost performance and confidence. Having supported students across various levels, I’ve seen how personalised teaching can make a real difference. I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenged to grow. Whether the goal is catching up, getting ahead, or excelling in exams, I’m committed to helping each student succeed.
