About Sofayan

Hi, I’m Sofayan, a secondary school science teacher with a degree in Biomedical Science and several years of tutoring experience. I specialise in helping students succeed in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics by building strong understanding and confidence in the subject.

Through my experience teaching in school and working with students one-to-one, I understand the common areas where students struggle and how to explain difficult concepts clearly. I focus on helping students improve both their knowledge and their exam technique so they can achieve their target grades.

I enjoy helping students develop confidence in science and showing them that complex topics can become much easier with the right explanations and practice.

About the lesson

My lessons are focused on helping students build strong understanding and confidence in GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). As a secondary school science teacher, I understand the common difficulties students face and how to explain challenging topics in a clear and simple way.

Lessons are usually one hour long and are tailored to each student’s needs. We will review key concepts, work through exam-style questions and develop strong exam technique so students know exactly how to answer questions for maximum marks.

I support students who are struggling with the content as well as those aiming for top grades. My goal is to make science clearer, more manageable and help students perform confidently in their GCSE exams.

In our lessons we will:
• Break down difficult GCSE topics into simple explanations
• Practise exam-style questions together
• Improve exam technique and written answers
• Build confidence for GCSE exams
