About Khaled

Hi, I’m Khaled! I’m currently an undergraduate student at the Lebanese American University, studying Biology Pre-Med program.

My passion for Biology and Chemistry has motivated me to share my knowledge with middle and high school students and help them develop a better understanding of these subjects. As a student myself, I understand that some scientific concepts can seem difficult or overwhelming at first. This allows me to approach teaching from a student’s perspective and explain concepts in a clear, simple, and relatable way.

I believe that effective learning is not about memorizing everything, but about understanding the ideas and knowing how to apply them. I’m patient, approachable, and happy to explain a concept in different ways until the student feels comfortable with it.

Whether you need help understanding a difficult Biology or Chemistry topic, preparing for an exam, practicing problems, or simply improving your confidence in science, I’m here to help you learn at your own pace.

About the lesson

I’m Khaled, a passionate Biology and Chemistry tutor dedicated to helping middle and high school students understand science with confidence.

My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding is more important than memorization. Science can sometimes feel complicated or overwhelming, so I break difficult topics into clear, manageable ideas and explain them step by step. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning pace, and individual needs.

My teaching method

I use a combination of clear explanations, diagrams, real-life examples, guided exercises, and active questioning. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I encourage them to think through problems and explain concepts in their own words. This helps them develop a deeper understanding and become more independent learners.

For Biology, I focus on helping students understand processes, systems, and relationships between concepts instead of memorizing isolated facts.

For Chemistry, I break down difficult concepts, formulas, equations, and problem-solving exercises into simple steps, making them easier to understand and apply.

What does a typical lesson look like?

Each lesson is adapted to the student's needs, but it usually follows a clear structure:

A short review of previously studied material
Identification of any difficulties or questions
Introduction and explanation of the new topic
Visual examples and real-world applications
Guided exercises and problem solving
Independent practice to check understanding
A final review of the most important concepts

I also encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson. There are no "stupid" questions—if something is unclear, I simply explain it in another way until it makes sense.

What makes me different?

I believe that every student learns differently. Some students need more visual explanations, while others learn better through examples, practice, or discussion. I therefore avoid using exactly the same approach with everyone.

My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can make mistakes, ask questions, and improve without feeling pressured. I want students to leave each lesson not only knowing more, but also feeling more confident in their ability to learn science.
