About Paula
I’m an experienced Art & Design teacher and former Head of Art who enjoys helping young people develop their creativity, skills and confidence. I want students to find their own creative voice, develop meaningful ideas and create work that reflects and realises their intentions.
Every student develops differently, and I aim to create a supportive environment where you can experiment, take creative risks and ask questions. It is important to me to see students succeed and grow in confidence as artists, while becoming increasingly independent in their creative decisions and approach to their work.

Every student is different, so I tailor my lessons to meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence. Whether you need to develop practical skills, improve your drawing, generate and develop ideas, analyse artists’ work or strengthen the presentation of your portfolio, I can help.
Lessons can be focused on specific skills or on developing your own creative ideas. If you’re feeling stuck, I can help you find a way forward, explore new possibilities and turn initial ideas into exciting, personal work. My aim is to support you in developing your skills, confidence and independence while helping you produce work you are genuinely proud of.

My son decided, after not taking GCSE Art, that he really wanted to pursue A-level Art. Paula was an amazingly supportive teacher who really helped him realise his abilities and develop his passion for art.
