About Hamdy

Hi, I’m Hamdy. I am an experienced educator and tutor with more than twenty years of teaching and tutoring experience across high school, undergraduate and postgraduate education. Over the years, I have also taught Arabic to English-speaking students from different backgrounds and with different levels of prior knowledge.

I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Egyptian Arabic, and I work with complete beginners as well as students who already have some knowledge of Arabic and want to develop their skills further. I can help students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing abilities, depending on their individual goals.

As an Egyptian native speaker, I can provide students with practical exposure to Egyptian Arabic and the way the language is naturally spoken in everyday situations, while also teaching Modern Standard Arabic for students who want to develop a more formal foundation in the language.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive and structured. I explain new vocabulary and grammatical concepts clearly, provide plenty of opportunities for practice and adapt the pace of the lesson to each student's level and learning style. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate rather than simply memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules.

Whether you are learning Arabic for personal interest, travel, communication with family and friends, study or simply because you would like to learn a new language, I will tailor the lessons to your individual goals and help you develop confidence in using Arabic.

About the lesson

My Arabic lessons are tailored to each student's level, goals and reasons for learning the language. Whether you are a complete beginner, developing your existing Arabic skills, preparing for study or travel, or looking to become more confident communicating in Arabic, I adapt the lessons to your individual needs.

I teach both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Egyptian Arabic, and I can help students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. For beginners, I introduce the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation, vocabulary and basic sentence structures step by step before gradually developing more advanced communication skills.

For students interested in Egyptian Arabic, lessons can focus on everyday conversation, pronunciation, useful expressions and understanding the way Arabic is naturally spoken in Egypt. For students studying Modern Standard Arabic, I can focus more on formal vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and structured language development.

I use practical examples and conversation alongside explanations of grammar and vocabulary. I encourage students to practice during the lesson and ask questions so that they can build confidence rather than simply memorizing lists of words or grammatical rules.

My goal is to make Arabic accessible, useful and enjoyable while helping each student make steady progress towards their individual learning goals.
