About Abigail
I have had 4 years tutoring experience as of March 2021. This has equated to over 600 hours of lessons and +150 5* reviews whilst on various tutoring platforms. I have also had experience with young people through working as a Team Leader for the National Citizen Service.
I also pride myself on being able to integrate many cultures and people. I have lived in Canada during a year abroad whilst teaching students from all over the world.
Other qualifications:
- Projected first class BSc and MEnv degree in Environmental Science
- 11 GCSEs A*-A including an A* in in Science and A* Maths (this would equate to Level 9 in the 9-1 grading system).
- 3 A-Levels: Geography (A), Biology (A) and Chemistry (B)

I am a postgraduate (Masters) student University of Leeds. My core subject is Environmental Science which encompasses Geography, Geology, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Owed to the nature of my degree, I can encompass both physical and social sciences from many disciplines.
I have had over four years experience tutoring a range students aged 8-18 from many countries. I am currently working with students who are doing 11+, 13+, IB, iGCSE, GCSE and A-Levels.
My lessons usually start with setting objectives, although the lessons themselves are widely flexible. I believe it is important to work in ways that suits both the topic and student. For example, there may be times where discussion is appropriate whilst other times mind-maps and lists work well. I have even done science experiments!
