About Amy
I knew I would be teaching children since I could speak! I have never had a plan B, C, or D. I have been assisting teachers with their duties since kindergarten. I was grading papers in 3rd grade. I am strict yet sensitive, and realize the importance of advanced gains where education is concerned. Everybody deserves an equal chance to soar, shine, and survive in their learning.

A generic lesson plan is not applicable due to individual learning needs, learning styles, background, short and long term goals, age etc. I have individualized lesson plans for a variety of learners for many years. I am energetic, enthusiastic, and love teaching. First and foremost knowing your students and the way they absorb information, retain, and put into action is crucial. It is necessary to know my students before creating a "just right" plan for success. I am 100% confident in my skill-set, and my ability to meet the needs of all. I have never taught an individual that did not move forward in their education.
I am a Chattanooga native. . I attended both Chattanooga State and UTC. I have a BS in education, and a teaching license. I am also a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard with CPR, AED, FIRST-AID, and OXYGEN certifications.
