About Jason
I have been teaching English as a second language and tutoring English students since April of 2014. I currently teach retired, Portuguese seniors, twice a week. I love teaching and explaining. I love storytelling and fun but I also appreciate correct grammar and spelling. I have prepared several students and professionals for English exams and for future moves to English speaking countries.

I love teaching students of all ages. I take care to teach my students to speak with confidence. Good pronunciation is key. I also like to help my students understand that an accent doesn't mean they are speaking a language badly or incorrectly. I want my students to walk away from our lessons, happy and confident. I want them to feel comfortable speaking with others and completing daily tasks in English. My focus is confidence. I look for what my students needs, strengths and weaknesses are and
adapt their lessons with those aspects in mind. My experience has a very wide range. My students have come from all ages and walks of life. I've been there. I've taught them.
