About Frances

I am a 24 year old English Masters graduate living in Putney, offering private tuition in English Literature and Creative Writing. Following leaving higher education, I wish to share my skills, knowledge and passion for English with students of all abilities.

I have a strong grasp of the subject, and am not restricted by traditional teaching methods, making the subject as fun and as engaging as possible for students. It is my aim to show that anyone can understand and excel at the subject when equipped with the right support and a tailored teaching approach.

I am also able to offer lessons in reading and spelling for Primary School children, as well as help with Personal Statements and CVs.

About the lesson

Having graduated from the University of Sheffield with a distinction in my English masters and First Class Honours in my English and Music BA, I am now offering tutoring for GCSE and A level English in and around Putney, London.

I use a variety of techniques to help engage students, with the ability to adapt to each individual for the most effective sessions.

I cater to the entire spectrum of the subject, including, but not limited to: providing deeper understandings of texts, essay writing help, creative writing assistance, and exam preparation.

The typical length of a lesson will range from 40 minutes to an hour, depending on preference.
