About Bhavni

I am a cheerful and friendly English Literature graduate, excited to share my knowledge and my passion with my students. I have graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2:1 in English, and I have 4 A Levels (all at a grade A) as well as 10 GCSEs (including 8 grade 8s in subjects like English, History, Maths, and triple sciences). I have had experience mentoring at both high school and university level, in both academic and non-academic contexts. I also have tutored both my siblings, who have successfully passed their GCSEs.

About the lesson

My typical lesson length would be an hour long - but if you need a different length let me know! My lessons would mostly cover subject knowledge and prep for tests, where I would introduce and cover a topic and then apply it to the exam situation to show you the context of what I'm teaching you! I have just graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2:1 in English Literature. I completed 4 A Levels (English Literature, History, Sociology, and Psychology), all achieving a grade A. I sat 10 GCSEs, achieving 8 grade 8s (Including English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and German). I also have experience in peer mentoring at both a high school and university level. My Lessons would be for those studying A Level or GCSE English Literature or History. For A Level History I am specialised in the AQA exam board, covering Democracy and Nazism in Germany 1918-1945, and The Tudors in England 1485-1603. For GCSEs History, I am specialised in the WJEC exam board, covering Germany 1919-1939, Elizabethan era 1558-1603, Health and Medicine, and USA 1929-2000. For A Level English, I am specialised in the EDEXCEL exam board, covering A Streetcar Named Desire, Hamlet, Frankenstein, A Handmaid's Tale, and Poems of the Decade. For GCSE English Literature, I am specialised for the AQA exam board, covering Jekyll and Hyde, Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, and the Power and Conflict poetry anthology.
