About Kahlan
Through experience as a Young Leader for the Scouts Association, I have planned and organised events, run and taught activities and attended residentials. From this role, I acquired responsibility for others and found creative ways to engage children.
I have also taken part in the National Citizenship Service, through which I engaged in team-building activities, building confidence and interpersonal skills. Public speaking was a large part of the programme, which has given me the skills to present ideas coherently to others.
Volunteering at Bethany House nursing home, I was able to become a friendly face and presence to the residents and spent time connecting with them.
