About Rowan

I’m a dedicated Biology tutor with more than 9 years of experience helping young learners understand the basics of life science. My academic background includes a BSc in Ecology and Conservation, which strengthened my fascination with the natural relationships between plants, animals, and ecosystems. I love working with middle school students, where curiosity is strong and every question opens the door to discovery. It’s a wonderful stage for learning.

My teaching style focuses on making science tangible and fun. We often observe plants, insects, and animals in everyday environments to understand how living things function and interact. About the lesson

The teaching style focuses on making Biology both understandable and intellectually engaging. Lessons explore major concepts such as evolutionary biology, natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics. These topics explain how species develop, diversify, and remain connected through evolutionary history. Students begin to see the structure behind biodiversity.

Critical thinking is encouraged throughout the learning process. Students examine evidence, explore scientific explanations, and participate in thoughtful discussions. Learning becomes more analytical. This strengthens scientific reasoning skills.

Biology lessons are also connected with chemistry, especially in areas involving food chemistry and green chemistry. These topics show how biological systems rely on chemical processes to function and remain balanced. Science becomes more interconnected.
