About Mark
As well as a degree in English, a postgraduate teaching qualification and an M.A. in Creative Writing, I have many years experience of teaching - both for my own small business and for various other providers. The subjects I have taught include Creative Writing, English (including English for Speakers of Other Languages), Maths and Community Development, and the methods I have used include one-to-one tutorials, classes and online sessions.

My main aim as a Creative Writing tutor is to enable you to produce well-crafted work, whatever style or genre you choose. One way of achieving this is through a structured series of lessons exploring the basic elements of fiction - characterisation, storytelling, dialogue and so on. The alternative is a bespoke workplan developed from your work in progress, identifying areas to work on and providing exercises to help you. Whichever approach we decide to adopt, my aim is to give you the tools you need to develop and improve your writing.
