About Shubh
I studied Economics at university and have taught A-Level students from all over the world, helping them master both content and exam performance. But I don’t just teach definitions and diagrams. I teach how to think like an economist: how to spot patterns, craft analytical answers, and write essays that examiners actually want to read. My approach blends: Exam-focused techniques (based on examiner reports and top-band responses) Real-world applications (so you understand why models matter, not just how they work) And a sharp focus on clarity, confidence, and critical thinking Whether you're aiming for an A* or just trying to pass with peace of mind, I tailor each session to your level, pace, and goals. What past students love most is that I make economics feel logical, not stressful — and show them how to beat the game by studying smarter, not harder.

We Train for the Exam — Not a Textbook I reverse-engineer past papers with you so you know: 1. Exactly how to structure 9-mark, 15-mark, or essay questions How to “satisfy the mark scheme” without over-explaining Which keywords and diagrams are worth marks — and which waste time 2. I Don’t Teach Topics — I Teach Thinking Anyone can Google what monetary policy is. But very few students understand: Why a 0.25% base rate change actually matters What the MPC might do next And how to link that to real-world data in an exam My goal is to turn you into an economic storyteller — someone who can write, speak, and argue like an economist. 3. Zero Wasted Notes, Maximum Retention My students don’t rewrite the textbook. Instead, we build: Bespoke revision sheets with priority logic Concept maps and models you can explain to a 10-year-old 90-second recap drills to lock in knowledge without burnout 4. Examiners Are Predictable — I’ll Show You How Having worked with real examiner feedback, I’ll teach you the exact moves to: Spot trick wording in multiple choice Break down “evaluate” prompts with precision Get the “top band” writing style that many students never learn
