About Evelyn
I am an Economics tutor with over 5 years of experience supporting students in their IGCSE and A-Level preparation. My teaching focuses on building a clear understanding of core concepts such as supply and demand, elasticity, and government intervention before moving to more advanced areas like macroeconomic policy and global trade. I strongly believe in grounding theory in practical, real-world examples, which makes abstract ideas much easier to grasp. During lessons, I encourage students to actively engage with questions rather than passively memorize content. Past paper practice forms a major part of my tutoring approach, as it trains students to think in the way examiners expect. I carefully go over each question, breaking down both strengths and areas for improvement. By practicing essay planning and diagram application, students develop greater confidence in structured writing and evaluation.
