I think slowly allowing yourself to understand color, strokes, and impression - then finally putting it together is how art is done. It is finding your own way to the canvas.
Firstly, we would go about understanding the color and theme.
Then, a rough draft of what we'd see on the paper or canvas.
And then finally, paint the picture and add the details.
