About Angelica

I am primarily an artist & workshop facilitator mainly based in London, UK. Though if you look at my other advert, you will see I am also an English graduate and writer. Let's just say I'm ambitious. I work online because it's 2024 people! As someone with various qualifications, my personal practice spans painting, writing and music. I am passionate about education and believe in up-skilling for a richer life. To me, the best student learns to have a sense of agency and teaches the teacher as well, and I welcome this in my virtual classroom. I offer a free HALF HOUR class so you can get a sense of my teaching style!

About the lesson

My approach is all about finding enthusiasm and passion in the subject! Previous projects I have worked on include; but, are not limited to: sketchbook creation, research, working to GCSE/iGCSE specs, photography portfolio improvement, architecture applications, personal statements, artist website creation, oil painting workshops. Let's say we're doing 1.5hrs of GCSE Art - we'd assess where we are in our timeline, find new artists to include, outline what creative work needs to be done. In a single session we could focus on creating work or I could direct the student and leave it for homework. It's important that the student feels agency as well. I have a suitable toolkit for online learning - I can use my tablet and an app called AstroPad, as well as the Adobe suite.
