About Clarissa
I am very interested in teaching as I believe everyone can enjoy and be good at subjects they may not currently like, but just need to find the correct approach to learning for themselves. I’m a Uni student having studied A-Level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, with 11 GCSEs at A–A** (including an A** in Early Maths). Having led clubs and worked in customer-facing roles, I bring patience, clear communication, and adaptability to my tutoring, always tailoring lessons to each student’s needs

I can teach students ranged from early primary school to sixth form, focusing on creating engaging, student-centred lessons that build confidence as well as knowledge. My teaching style is interactive: I break complex concepts into simple steps, use real-life examples, and encourage questions to ensure true understanding rather than rote memorisation. I also adapt my methodology depending on the student’s learning style—whether they learn best visually, verbally, or through practice. A typical lesson can last around 60 minutes or more, with time split between reviewing previous work, introducing new content, and practising with tailored exercises. I finish each session with a short recap and goal-setting for the next lesson. I have experience tutoring at school level, running coding clubs, and mentoring peers, as well as achieving high grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. My lessons are suitable for KS2 through to A-Level students who need structured support, exam preparation, or extension beyond the classroom.
