About Rosie

A Motivated & enthusiastic bi-lingual graduate SEND SALT/EAL Teaching Assistant
with 3+ years of school experience in Primary, Secondary & Adult Education. A passionate advocate for inclusive education that maximizes learning outcomes for all
students, regardless of background. Confident in supporting pupils with a range of language, learning & behavioral difficulties, and/or SEN (Special Educational Needs),
and with, or without EHCPs (Educational Health Care Plans). For example, previous posts in schools included providing 1:1 specialized support for pupils whose diagnosis
included Dyslexia, EAL, Epilepsy, ASD, SALT, SEMH, ADHD, Hearing Impairment, Eating Disorders, Aggressive/Challenging Behavior & Personal Care.

About the lesson

Coming from a background working as a SEND Teaching Assistant and ABA tutor at the Primary level, I have gained significant experience in knowing how to make the curriculum accessible and engaging by assessing students and tailor lessons according to their interests so they maintain engagement with the subject.
I am qualified and trained in PECS, Makaton, ABA, Phonics, Colourful Semantics, Sensory Circuits & Bucket Time Attention & Listening Intervention in order to ensure my teaching is always accessible and understood.
I am a native Arabic speaker with a degree in Arabic & History and my subject knowledge extends beyond Primary to cover GCSEs, A-Levels and supporting young people with CVs, Oxbridge Entrance Exams, Personal Statements & University applications.

Rosie has been supporting my autistic son since December last year and her skilled, engaging and effective teaching has meant my son has been able to access the national curriculum, progress from being non-verbal to speaking sentences and surpass all the targets on EHCP. Rosie has gone above and beyond, attending a meeting at my son's school in her own time to support the creation of new EHCP targets for the next academic year.
