About Isabela
I am a clinical research coordinator at a pediatric intensive care unit, working with studies in diverse fields such as epidemiology, public health, and biochemistry. I have been giving private lessons since 2015 in human sciences and biology at the elementary school, high school and college level. I graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. Honours Pharmacology and a minor in biotechnology.
I'm originally from Brazil, but I've been living in Canada for five years; I fluently speak English and Portuguese, though I am also proficient in Spanish and French!

I believe in catering my methods to the needs of each student; I am open to experimenting with different strategies and adapting to what works best for each person. My goal is to empower you to learn whatever you need in the most permanent way possible (I favour understanding over brute memorization). Generally, I like approaching subjects using a Socratic method: we will have a conversation about the topic you'd like to learn, and I will ask you about your questions and assumptions so we can reach conclusions together.
