  • 1. When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

Hi, I’m Arsham! I’m a Civil Engineering student at the University of Toronto, and I’ve always loved creating things.

As a kid, it started with LEGO. Today, beyond building structures, I want to help build something else: passion.

I want my students to discover what they genuinely enjoy, so one day, they’re working in a field they love, not just one they have to tolerate.
  • 2. What makes you passionate about your subject?

I’ve always been fascinated by mathematics, physics, and chemistry because they help us understand how the world around us works. They make us think differently and question things we might otherwise take for granted.

And that’s exactly how I approach tutoring. I don’t want my students to simply memorize formulas. I want to make difficult concepts feel simple enough that they can actually understand and use them.
  • 3. What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a “Superprof”?

My tutoring journey started back in high school, helping friends and classmates. Seeing their progress, especially as they prepared for university, encouraged me to help more people.

Since then, I’ve worked with over 30 students and gained hundreds of hours of tutoring experience.
  • 4. Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

One thing that inspires my teaching is TED Talks. I love how speakers can take a complicated idea and make it interesting and easy to follow. That’s what I try to bring into every session.
  • 5. What are your keys to success?

But I think what really makes my approach different is that I’ve been where my students are.

We’re navigating many of the same challenges: distractions, deadlines, lack of time, and sometimes just struggling to stay focused.

I know what that feels like because I’ve experienced it myself.

And if there’s one thing I want my students to take away from working with me, it’s that I’m not just here to help them pass an exam.

I’m here to help them go further than I did.
