About Alf
I earned by Ph.D. in chemistry about 30 years ago in Germany (I also speak German). Over the past 28 years, I have taught a broad variety of chemistry courses at UCLA, CSU Bakersfield, East Los Angeles College, Bakersfield College, etc. In addition, I have tutored various math subjects (algebra through calculus).

My tutoring aims to enable the students to do well in the quizzes and exams by making sure that the students really understand the materials. Over the years, I have tutored a wide range of subjects (mainly chemistry and math subjects but also physics and statistics) and age groups (7th grade to upper division chemistry at 4-year university).
