I have been working in the school system since 2016. I have been involved in everything from teaching computer classes and RTI groups to intensive reading, writing, and comprehension classes. I take care to get to know each of my students and their individual learning needs. I tailor lessons to meet the students where they are and to be both educational and engaging for them.

I have taught a variety of student and learner types. I have taught Special Education and English Language Learners. My lesson plans typically start with heavy scaffolds that I remove when the students begin to understand the material with the intention that they begin to work independently. I focus not only on skills the students need for reading, but I also focus on reading comprehension. I have taught Test Prep and can help your student prepare for End of Course exams as well as State Tests.
